As of today's build Skin Objects are supported <YEAH>

Putting this here as much for myself to reference as anyone else, but here is apparently how you impement them:

In your Skin file, register OWS:

<%@ Register Assembly="r2i.OWS.Wrapper.DotNetNuke" Namespace="r2i.OWS.Wrapper.DNN" TagPrefix="cc1" %>

Then place to module in your skin layout of the skin file by reference the Configuration ID. I believe the id="" parameter of the tag is not specific to anything but the tag id itself.
<cc1:SkinObject id="owsXX1" ConfigurationID="12167625-4879-0fab-b771-89a8ed87e1d5" runat="server">
</cc1:SkinObject>
