Ok... yet another week passes with no response or real answer to help make use of OWS.

After being told videos will be 2 days... a month ago I've lost confidence in the OWS team and what they say they are doing... this is still something I'm considering though until I see another option(one is straight .NET, and another alternative option currently has a poor licensing structure).

I noticed those 4 that were done have a text step-by-step done.  Is it not possible for something like this to be done?  Not even concerned with screenshots if something is there to show how to use this!

Not going to waste more of my time asking or thinking about OWS if the R2i team doesn't even care!

It is not a matter of not caring, or the even not paying attention. We are working extremely hard at pushing this open source platform to the masses. While we have not been able to complete a number of the videos, there are reasons behind the slow down. A number of enhancements and bug corrections have been required over the last few weeks which have taken priority over the release of the support material. This including an overhaul of the wiki module which was poorly structured and not working well enough to open up to standard users making edits.

I personally spend a greart deal of time answering questions across all the public forums, and have attempted to do the best job possible moving forward with so many competing fronts. Your message is not ignored, nor is is absent from our massive to do list, and we will strive to complete this as quickly as possible.

For what it's worth, I have been eagerly waiting for your next set of videos since early December as well.  That said, I think DavidT would be well served with a stable product (not to mention, free!) that is delayed, rather than an unstable one hurried out the door.  Great work so far, and I can't wait for the next video!

I certainly agree that we'd also be well served with a stable product, though not being able to use it really doesn't matter if it's stable or not.

Free... is less of a concern as I had been discussing pooling funds with some others to have someone create documentation for this but they have gone elsewhere and I've now follows (though I expect I'll eventually return to OWS).

The delays really have been more than 6-7 weeks too, considering I was looking for a solution over a year ago and asked to hold off and join the beta team... without realising there'd be little I can offer though I have tried several times in investing time to learn OWS without much documentation or guidance... so the effect on me hasn't been free really and I've had 2 developers walk away now after I request they try using OWS to build solutions I have been needing for over a year.

This is a reason I was asking for even the roughest of documentation, as I feel polishing can wait rather than waiting a long time now for a few well polished videos.

I do look forward to seeing OWS becoming something more of us can make use of, and seeing the direction it takes but I can't afford to be strung along anymore.

I hope to be back again in the future as I do think it's a very flexible and powerful development tool!

Best of luck guys.

Not that I am endorsing anyone go out and spend money, but I will endorse the quality of the DNN Creative videos especially those related to building modules from scratch using OWS.

Immensely helpful to me and many others and worth my yearly subscription price. I just hope they continue the OWS trend.
